I need a bigger home for all my trophies, jokes Hazard

Eden Hazard says he needs to move to a bigger home so he has room to store all his trophies.

Hazard won the Premier League Goal of the Month award on Friday for his stunning solo strike against Arsenal on February 4, running from inside his own half to beat Petr Cech.

The Belgium international was crowned the Premier League s Player of the Season for the 2014-15 campaign, in which he also took the Professional Footballers Association Players  Player of the Year and Football Writers Association Footballer of the Year honours.

To be fair, I don t know, Hazard said when asked by Chelsea TV where he keeps his awards.

I give them away to people sometimes, my father has some in Belgium. I have a couple of them in the garage.

Barnsley hit back at Moyes over Stones fee claims

David Moyes is markedly and unequivocally wrong in his suggestion that Everton paid just £1.25million for John Stones, according to the defender s former club Barnsley.

England international Stones arrived at Goodison Park during the final months of Moyes Everton tenure in January 2013 and has since become one of their most prized assets notably attracting attention from Premier League champions Chelsea.

Amid discussion over how much the 21-year-old is worth, Moyes told Sky Sports Goals on Sunday: I laugh when people say we paid £3m for John Stones, it was £1.25m.

But Barnsley hit back at the former Manchester United boss on Tuesday, stating Moyes was not involved in negotiations and should avoid commenting on the matter.

The amount paid by Everton…

Can unhappy with lack of Juventus starts

Emre Can has reaffirmed his frustration with the limited playing time on offer at Juventus.

The midfielder started a 1-1 draw at Lecce in October but has had to settle for just three further substitute appearances in Serie A.

Maurizio Sarri left Can out of his squad for the Champions League, a development the 25-year-old described as extremely shocking , and the Bianconeri boss is reportedly willing to let him leave in January.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are said to have expressed interest in recent days.

I m just an ambitious guy who always wants to compete at the highest level, Can told Kicker.

But I m also learning from this tough time when things are not going the way I was hoping.

I m not playing games from the start, so I…

West Brom 0 Southampton 1: Clasie opens Premier League account with fine strike

Jordy Clasie scored his first Premier League goal as Southampton got back to winning ways on the road with a 1-0 victory over West Brom at The Hawthorns.

Claude Puel s side helped haul themselves well clear of a potential relegation fight by winning two of their previous three away games a 4-0 success at Sunderland and a 4-3 triumph at Watford coming before a 2-1 defeat at Tottenham  and opened the scoring midway through the first half on Saturday as Clasie fired home from the edge of the penalty box.

The Saints had opportunities to add to their lead before half-time, too, with Shane Long proving particularly wasteful in front of goal.

But West Brom were unable to make them pay, Jonny Evans denied by Fraser Forster s fine reaction save with virtually the last…

Kylian Mbappe scores twice as PSG breeze past Real Sociedad in Champions League

Kylian Mbappe’s brace saw Paris St Germain cruise into the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a 2-1 win away to Real Sociedad completing a 4-1 aggregate victory.

Mbappe should soon play in the same league as Sociedad once his long-mooted Real Madrid move is complete but he showed he is a level above the San Sebastian side with his clinical finishing making the difference on the night.

With a 2-0 lead in their pocket from the first leg, PSG were comfortable throughout, with the only blot coming when Mikel Merino scored a consolation goal a minute from time.

A win and qualification!

The Parisians win at the Reala Arena and qualify to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

He scored in seven straight league games from August to October – his third to his ninth appearances in the com…

SPL to embrace report findings

The Scottish Premier League said it will work towards realising the proposals suggested by the McLeish report into the state of the game.

Henry McLeish, a former Scottish First Minister, was commissioned in May 2009 by Scottish Football Association president George Peat to conduct a thorough review into football in the country and propose ways to strengthen the game.

Among the proposals puts forward are the introduction of a two-tiered top level of the Premier League with 10 teams in each division.

Benfica crownd Primeira Liga champions

Benfica were crowned Primeira Liga champions for the first time since 2010 after defeating rock-bottom Olhanense 2-0 on Sunday.

Jorge Jesus men have had a superb campaign, and for many weeks it has appeared a matter of when and not if they would secure a 33rd league title.

The question of when was finally answered on Sunday, a double from Brazilian Lima doing the damage as Benfica wrapped up the championship in front of their home fans at Estadio da Luz, as second-placed Sporting Lisbon sit seven points adrift with just two games remaining.

It took 57 minutes for Benfica to make the breakthrough, as Lima tapped home after Nicolas Gaitan s original shot was saved by Vid Belec.

Four minutes later it was two, the 30-year-old bursting down the right before his tame s…

Borussia Dortmund have approached Barcelona to discuss the potential signing of promising youngster Lee Seung-woo, the player s agent Pere Guardiola has revealed.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest prospects at Camp Nou, but he has yet to make his competitive first-team debut.

Lee made his debut for Barcelona B in 2015-16, but found himself representing their Juvenil A side again this term.
